Finding Freedom in Subtlety: How Revive Transformed My Somatic Journey

aimeetakaya

I joined Revive because I wanted to open my body up and had experienced success from a previous one on one session with Aimee. I knew I needed to reconnect with my wellness. And I needed to get subtle.

I’ve struggled a lot with jaw and throat tension. A hard shell heart-space. And previously with depression, anxiety and addiction. I’ve known a long time that my “posture needs an update!”

During Revive, I experienced more openness, peace and softness in body and in my consciousness. I felt more emotions moving.

I’ve recognized that everything else I’ve tried has been too fast. Especially now that I’ve worked this way and with the Feldenkrais method. I feel like no one has had a sense of what I needed before, and I am excited to see what movement is like as I leave certain habitations. (But even then, I only want to work with somatically aligned practitioners now. Or be one!)

Aimee give us time to reflect and integrate sensations. Her class has great tempo and very clear language. I can always follow with eyes closed.

I felt safe and held both in person and online.

I’ve learned that less is more and I need subtle and slow.

I also realize now, that I have what I need to bring change and relief to my somatic body.

Using the PIES formula was so incredibly helpful to tap into different aspects of my consciousness.

Having the week-by-week content felt like an adventure! It was so thorough and built the journey with each week! I loved it!

I found the journaling prompts to be eye opening. I’d like to revisit my writing now and do another round of them!

It was both interesting and emotional to reflect on all my somatic history.

Now, I feel more capable and engaged in my own somatic peace. I feel more confident in talking about my Soma and sensing in. And more ready to teach and coach and move in my own practices!

Thank you Aimee for creating this container and connecting us all! I love my new somatic community!”

Emma is repeating Revive this upcoming round!
