Connection is an organic process that cannot be forced, invented or mentally decided upon.
This becomes deeply apparent in the realm of self-connection with our bodies.
In Ani D’s edgy words:
“You can’t will your c*nt wet.”
In truth, our capacity to connect with anything greatly depends on the capacity we have to connect with ourselves.
Furthermore your “self” is encased in BODY and FLESH and is a series of miraculous, deeply loving processes that desire to exist, to live, to survive and to thrive.
Even the devastating effects of serious trauma and disconnection are, in nature, an intelligent strategy to survive: to go on despite the events that could have ended us.
When we have lost connection, whether from subtle compounded, suppressed sorrows or dramatic fateful situations there is a way back-
-and that is what somatic work offers.
A way back in that bypasses the mental gymnastics and the striving
by connecting with our essence - that part that refuses to be coerced and instead asks for our tender, patient awareness.
And what a glory becomes us in this dance of disarming:
our inner critic,
our petulant child,
our wrathful warrior
by initiating unconditional, loving action and creating an environment of validation and support-
Through. The. Way. We. Move.
Movement is an entirely different language. Filled with sensation and real time possibility.
The work I have done and the work I am honored to transmit into this world builds trust and connection with oneself and therefore trust and connection with the larger world.
It fosters in you connection that is authentic, true and steadfast.
It connects you to those you love and allows you to receive their love and the love of the earth.
Take a deep dive with me into this world of connection
