Guest Bio:
Allura Halliwell is a consciousness mentor and transformational guide whose radical awakening in 2018 catapulted her into a lifelong mission: helping others reconnect with the truth of who they are.
Formerly a stay-at-home mother of three, Allura's life changed forever after a spontaneous out-of-body experience at a meditation retreat left her seeing the energetic fabric of reality. The experience dissolved her former identity and birthed a new purpose—to guide others to profound reconnection, which she does now through her signature modality, The Consciousness Method™.
Allura now helps spiritual seekers who feel "stuck" despite years of personal development, healing work, or spiritual practice. Her work sits in the pivotal space between internal healing and external creation—the "interface," as she calls it—teaching clients how to align with wide-spectrum consciousness to access sovereignty, clarity, and meaningful transformation in all areas of life.

LISTEN WHILE READING!
A: Hey there, listener. Welcome to the FreeYourSoma Podcast. I'm Aimee Takaya, and today we're going to explore the layers that are hidden unconsciously under the surface at all times. Maybe you know what I'm talking about. They call them shadows. It could be our subconscious mind.
It could be your body trying to get your attention when you are just going along in your everyday life, right? And something happens, something changes, and now you become aware of yourself in a new way. Today I have Allura Halliwell, who is a consciousness mentor and transformational guide whose radical awakening in 2018 catapulted her into a lifelong mission to help others reconnect with the truth of who they are.
We are going to explore not only AlLura's personal story, but the things she's observing in the collective consciousness over the last, what would you say, like a couple of months, right? And where we're headed in 2026. So please stay tuned.
Intro: Every day, there is a forgetting. And every moment there is the possibility of remembering. Remembering who you truly are, awakening to your body, to the inner world, to the experience of being alive. Here is where you find the beauty, the joy. And here is where you free your soma. I'm your host, Aimee Takaya. I'm here to help you move from pain to power, from tension to expansion, and ultimately from fear to love.
A: Hello and welcome. Hi, Allura.
Halliwell: Hello, Aimee. Thank you so much for having me.
A: Yeah, my pleasure. And you know, before we started recording, you were sharing about some things that you feel are really coming through right now that you feel like you're observing, and I was right on the same page as you. It felt very juicy and interesting to kind of explore some of these topics.
First off, though, you know, it sounds like you have a really interesting story. I'm reading in your bio that you were formerly a stay-at-home mother of three, and you had a life-changing experience, an out-of-body experience at a meditation retreat, and it left you seeing the energetic fabric of reality, right?
And dissolving your former identity. Now, this is pretty interesting because I think a lot of people who might like have that experience, like had it on like ayahuasca, but it sounds like you had it spontaneously, right? Can you tell us a little bit about what that was like for you and how you've been able to integrate that experience before we get into today's topic?
Halliwell: Yeah, that's such a beautiful, massive question because that moment was a complete timeline shift, identity shift for me. And as you mentioned, it happened spontaneously. So I was a mother, stay home mom, living in kind of a really sort of just everyday existence, thinking about meals, holidays, trying to regulate my dysregulated um now ex-husband and trying to survive being a mom of three.
And I went to the meditation retreat for a break for a holiday. I was like, oh, this will be fun, and ended up having a very profound experience where I was walking down to the beach to meditate with a group, and I just felt myself being pulled to the sand. I lay I lay down on the on the sand, and everyone else was meditating, and literally I felt my consciousness come up through my body. It left the top of my head, and I could see my body lying on the ground.
And then it proceeded to move out through the brightest white light. Um, and then I merged back to source and the merging and the space I spent out in the void was over an hour and a half, through which time I dissolved completely. And when my consciousness came back to my body after a period of time, I opened my eyes and I could no longer see material reality.
I could only see how everything was made of energy. I had a massive Kundalini awakening, so I was vibrating constantly. Um, I'd had I have a form of amnesia, so I couldn't remember my preferences, um, what the past and why I'd created the reality I created. It was like being born again. So I could literally talk for three hours about the integration of that process because it was thorough, it was comprehensive, and it was about finding my way back to being a human, like being born again.
But in that process, I got a really massive insight to the way we construct our realities as as humans with our nervous systems, our emotional systems, our mental systems, our energetic systems. And I came to see how we get stuck a lot as humans in our human experience. So that was the that was a deep dive. Wow.
A: That's you know, to many people listening, they may have like really, you know, they hear something like that and they really don't know like what it is you're talking about because they can't really imagine that it's like they must be watching a movie where somebody has this visual, you know, experience, or maybe they I don't know, took acid and had like a glimpse of what you're talking about. But like strangely enough, like when I was 19, I and there's a whole story around this, actually. The first time I was ever on a podcast, I told that story.
So if anyone wants to go listen to that podcast from like years ago, it's out there. But I had a spontaneous kind of awakening too that was labeled in my environment that I was I had psychosis, but what I experienced was actually something kind of similar to what you're describing. I didn't come back and have that what you're describing about seeing everything energetically, but I did merge with source or God, or I had this spiritual awakening.
And when I came back into my body, I was also a little amnesic and confused about why am I in a psych ward? Like, you know, what's happening? Like it's a it's a story that I had to spend about 10 years integrating because you know, it sounds like maybe you were able to find people who were able to, you know, you know, you were in a meditation retreat. Make maybe there were already people who were like open to what you know.
Halliwell: I was like, that was the ironic, crazy thing. It was like the darkest night of the soul. It was like everyone looked at me and went, I don't know what's happened to you, and I don't know who you are, and I don't know how to help you. And that's when I realized I could only find my way myself. Yeah, and that probably was the download for me then to support others that are going through that. And I just really can honor the psychosis aspect because from an external perspective, you know, everyone was like, Oh my god, the lights are on, but no one's home.
Where is she? And my consciousness had been completely anchored in a multidimensional realm. Like I began to have daily mystical experiences, you know, being able to understand how and and see through the fabric of reality meant I was time jumping and working out how to, you know, use my thoughts to kind of create my reality and lots of things were going on. But from the outside, I was really shut down.
I was very internal. And you know, I was very fortunate that I was able just to rest into that space and um be protected in that for the time I was in it because it could have been another timeline. But I was very anchored to that divine in that moment, and you know, knowing that I I had to go through it was kind of coming through to me, but the trauma of going through it was another thing. So I feel you deeply in these big, vast, very rapid awakenings can leave us very unsettled and Right.
A: It's its own kind of trauma, right? It's because it's so sudden, you know. I think what is one of the definition of a trauma, it's like too fast too soon, you know. And when we have these kundalini awakenings, I remember years later reading about it in like a yoga book, you know, like an Indian kundalini yoga book about like when things awaken a little too quickly, it can be catastrophic.
And it, you know, it sounds like both you and I like got the privilege of like surviving those kind of experiences. Some people don't because it's very intense, you know. But it sounds like you were really uh anchored in source and you were really anchored in love, and I bet that made all the difference, right?
A: Did you know that your muscles are holding on to thoughts, memories and feelings? If you have a tight neck or back, you're not just getting old, you're experiencing a buildup of tension from the life you've lived. Most people don't know this, but there is a part of your brain that can reverse and prevent chronic tension.
When you relax your muscles, you not only move better and regulate your nervous system, but you also free yourself from the grip the past has over your body. So you can live with freedom, confidence, and enjoy your life now. How does that sound? Join me, Aimee Takaya, and discover what my clients are raving about at You Can Free Your Soma.com.
Halliwell: Yeah. And that just, you know, that love of this experience, it almost makes me want to cry because the love is so vast in source, and then being able to find the love here, I think was the mission that I felt called to bring because when we come into the separation of being a physical body and having a nervous system and all the things of the demands of surviving this experience, I think we kind of shift out of the love sometimes, and we don't feel like reality is very loving, we don't feel like our experience is very loving. So anchoring that love and finding a path to that love as the whole experience, not just as self-love or a limited relational love, but a complete love. Yeah, it was important. Wow.
A: Yeah, it's it's an incredible journey that you've been on. And, you know, in terms of how this work relates to like what we were sharing at the beginning of our conversation, right? You brought up a really fascinating and I felt very relevant point in my own life right now is that collectively there's a lot of people who are being willing to look at very deep lifelong patterns of behavior, of thinking, of operating, and being able to really lean in and look at those things in a new way, which is exciting and heavy, right? Would you like to say something about that, what you're noticing in the collective?
Halliwell: Yeah, it's being profound, the level of calling that people are having at the moment around their activation and realization and connection to the whole aspect of themselves. What people are kind of coming to see that they've almost shut down this vaster space to be in maybe a looping, limited, constricted aspect of their identity, and they're seeing and feeling the potential of that expansion, and then they're going and doing this really deep yet very, very liberating work to find where that hook keeps them in that limitation, and this sort of duality of the expansion and the contraction, they're working simultaneously in the containers we're having on expanding.
But also, going into that contraction with such deep consciousness that it's no longer a place to fear or a place to resist. It's a place with a very unique coding and a very unique awareness that can crack open for us and support that expansion in profound ways. So I'm witnessing people go to core traumas and core experiences and core fractures in their life path that are actually holding the keys to how their expansion can now occur, and doing that via the portal of the body.
So going through the what I call the pain portal, which means going through the deepest part that feels that pain that we feel is just gonna kill us, and we're gonna die if we touch it, and liberating through that pain to open the cellular emotional consciousness energy that's trapped in that pain in the body, and that coming through to create a new template, which is projecting into a whole new reality. So it's the internal exploration that's expanding and then projecting the next level of expression and the intensity of the willingness to go there. I'm just seeing that increase over like exponentially.
People are like so ready, and knowing that there's a path to do that, and that you don't have to get lost in the overwhelm of processing that pain, it's being really beautiful to witness. Yeah. Wow. Yeah.
A: And I always wonder, you know, like when there's something going on really deep like this in the collective, I think that the other people who may not be doing that work consciously are also feeling it, right? And that's some of the chaos that we see. Yeah.
Halliwell: Well, I'm witnessing the shifts of consciousness that these individuals are having, are having a profound effect on the people around them. Because what's happening is people are awakening on a very core level, which means they're no longer functioning out of what I call their wounding, which is their unconscious patterns of separation, a feeling unloved, unworthy, unknown.
And so acting in a way that limits their capacity for connection. And as they shift internally, they're actually seeing these relationships that they thought were limited, not for them, hurting them, you know, not functioning well, they're seeing different versions of those people because they've found a different version of themselves. And so the reflection is changing.
The inner template is changing, so the reflection is changing. And yes, that brings some chaos because people are like, oh my gosh, I don't know the version of you anymore. It's a different version. I don't know how to respond and work with that version. But simultaneously, because this version is becoming more connected, more truthful, more emotionally processed. The other person's like, well, I feel you less of a threat. So I can find you more and I can find myself more. And I've seen whole family systems shift from one person doing the work.
A: Oh, 100%. That is so possible. Right. And like the way that a person can call right their community or partner or you know, beloved into that transformation by their own willingness to go there on their own, you know, like you you lead the way with what you do energetically, and then the people who are ready to follow begin to follow, you know. I love that you're seeing that's in family dynamics. Uh, can you say a little more about like maybe even, you know, how has it been for you to integrate your former path self and identity, right? As the mother of three and a wife and all that, and how how has that transformation impacted your relationship?
Halliwell: Yeah. So it became really evident that the level of evolution that I was kind of fast tracked in meant that there wasn't a high level of resonance anymore with my husband. And a lot of the stored emotional absorption that I'd taken in that relationship was coming through my body now more freely. I realized that I'd been in suppression in that relationship for most of the relationship, holding that dysregulation in my body. So we ended up separating, and then um we're no longer together. But we've formed a beautiful relationship out of that journey, and he's about to have a baby with his new partner, and his new partner is a very close friend of mine, and she parents my kids, like that.
She's their mother, she loves them. And that's part of the reality creation that I wanted to have. I wanted to have the resolution that even though the fracture was so great, and my ex-husband he had post-traumatic stress from the experience because I literally left one woman and came back like an alien, and he's like, I don't know who you are.
So it was really confronting for him. And then for my children, there was a period of really challenging energetic abandonment for them where I wasn't able to show up because I was so in this internal world of trying to process this. That became my core priority. As soon as I came back enough to be functioning here again, they became the priority because you cannot do this work unless everything in your system is healing and becoming reconnected.
So I spent a lot of time processing with my children, their feelings about what happened to mom, because they were four, six, and eight, and witnessing when they had behavioral responses, how it could have been connected back to that trauma and working with them consciously to try to kind of see those dots of how do you really feel about what happened to you, what emotions are really in your body about that in that and stored in that. And now, how are you perceiving things around you from that experience? And can I bring more truth to that? Because there was never a lack of love, but there was most definitely an you know, a stepping out in my energy, and that work has brought them into being beautiful, amazing humans.
They're 15, 13, 11 and all thriving. But it took a lot of energy and a lot of work to bring that through. My mom mourned me, like I died. Um, she was like, I don't know who you are. So she went through a mourning process.
She's now here this morning with my three kids. Um, we're very close. She's helping, you know, helping me move. We connect and adore each other, and we've had to reorientate our relationship. And it hasn't been easy. You know, it's been this ongoing reflection because my understanding is every relationship around you is a reflection of your relationship within you. So you cannot, you know, it's about not missing these pieces. Um people I work with will often come to me and say, I'm estranged from my dad or my mom or my siblings.
I am in a divorce proceedings where we're about to go to court. Um, I'm in this fracture with the people around me. And the number of unifications that I've seen between people and their parents has just blown my mind because once that story gets rewritten in the body, then there's just this openness to see the wounding in the other person. And it doesn't necessarily mean you need to be in contact or you need to have a relationship that's not honoring for you, but the revelation of the other version of the parent that comes through when you do that work, it just I cannot even express it in words.
It's just profound. And the number of like court cases we've averted and new agreements we've come to between you know, separated parents to be able to support a new life. It's been really interesting to process the deep grief, pain, and fear in everyone to find a new gateway of connection with other people. So I do believe that the majority of relationships can be reorientated, that there's nothing outside of you that you actually have to feel a victim to or separated from. It can all be reconnected within, and you'll get something different outside of you definitely. Yeah. Yeah.
A: I it reminds me of my one of my first like had a wonderful shadow work guide that you know was quite different from you, but like saying similar things, you know? It's so great how like there's so many different ways that people can communicate, right?
And everyone has their own like individual way. But she used to say, like, there's no toxic people, there's toxic dynamics, you know, like there's ways that we're relating to and perceiving each other that can be toxic, right? Or you know misunderstandings or the hurt and the anger or the fear that's unprocessed gets in the way of the relating, you know.
And so I really feel like what you're saying is beautiful, profound, we need more of it in the world. So, does this mean that you work with families, or do you work with an individual and then support them in working with their family? Like, have you ever done things that are groups, or how do you how does it work?
Halliwell: Yeah, or I work with the individual, and then what seems to happen is the individual work with me, and then their mother will come and work with me, or their ex-partner will come and work with me.
So, right now I have a container, and there's a mother, um, the daughter and the ex-partner all doing the work in the same container, and it's just amazing to witness because yeah, it's all internal work. And I think trying to mold the connection point can sometimes mean we miss the core fracture or core wounding in each person. And I call it the wound bond. We bond over these wounds that keep these wounds in a known familiar pattern with people. We want to see people behaving a certain way because it gives us a certain predictable response within us. So when we work with that in the individual, you're just gonna get another version of that, other human, because we're all holographic.
So the version I get of you will be different to the version your family gets a view, or you know, your clients get a view, or someone else gets a view because you're in a holographic state where we're responding to each other from the versions that we are now and connecting here, but we're multidimensional and we have all these facets. So, and that means also by default, we can move. We're not fixed in one level of identity, we don't have to be the same version of ourselves over and over again. Right.
A: But we get caught in those loops as you described. We get caught in those loops. Can you say a little bit about like how people, you know, people who don't realize that they're in a loop, what are some of the things that they could look for to discover that they're in a loop of behavior that's creating a reality?
Halliwell: And then you know the best way to do that is to detail the repetitive thoughts you're having. So on the daily, I would write a list of the core thoughts you're having that repeat in your mind every single day, and you'll have a thorough list of the things that you keep thinking about over and over again.
And then from there, I would invite you to see the very predictable behaviors. So they look like suppression behaviors, like things you do to like numb out and avoid things, and then maybe overactivation behaviors, like things that you do, like it's like, oh, I have to get this done. And so you're in hyperdrive and you're trying to get everything done at the same time, and you're bouncing between those two places often. And this is just a reflection of the nervous system and its unsafety, because it wants to either numb out and avoid, or it wants to overactivate and engage and try and make things different, better, whatever.
And so it's being aware of that, and then finally being aware of your emotional responses. So, how do you feel on the daily? Like, how is your emotional essence traveling? Like, what predictable emotions do you keep getting in your day? When you actually pattern that your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, you can see where you loop because it's like, wow, I can see this pattern every single day. And whatever that survival pattern is you're running, it will have a deeper layer of unconscious material that's keeping you trapped in that level of internal reality and external reality.
And that's where we need to go then after we find that and explore what is at the core of keeping that pattern alive. And you know, just as an example, you know, of a beautiful woman, and just every evening it's Netflix and a glass of wine. And when we went to the core of that, it was the abandonment of her mother at seven years and finding that thread and going to the core of that pain, releasing that pain, releases the need to numb out and avoid because she's not trying to keep the loneliness and abandonment that's in her body at bay. So this consciousness connects us to everything because everything's everything's connected. Yeah. Wow.
A: Yeah, thank you. That was a very thorough answer. I love that answer. I think like a lot of us are waking up to our patterns or have been maybe on that path for a while, but it does feel like there's a genuinely new layer that's opening up for people. I high I very much agree about that.
And I think it's necessary, right? In terms of where, you know, kind of you see this momentum going throughout like the next year. What are some feelings you have about what this means for you know, after the collective?
Halliwell: So the work that I'm doing is all about forming a relationship with consciousness because consciousness for me is the vastest reservoir of information and awareness and transformational transformational potential. So, overdoing this over the last five years, I've seen and I'm witnessing that the access to a vaster consciousness is expanding exponentially. People are getting the awareness of their patterns and then connecting those core fractures a lot quicker, and from that place, they're reorientating their realities a lot faster.
So I would say that the relationship to consciousness is open and it's easier to access now than ever before, and that's the evolution of humanity, and staying connected to that consciousness as your, I suppose, a core guiding space and having a relationship to that divine aspect of you. I'm seeing people activating into where they what they're here for, you know, their purpose, moving out of survival, moving into the creation and realizing themselves as the creator, and that probably is the most potent thing when you can move from being a victim to reality to being a co-creator with reality because you have the keys of consciousness and you understand how it's working. That's I think that is just going to keep increasing, and it's going to be so exciting to witness that. Yeah.
A: Thank you. I'm I'm excited for it too in my own life. I I got some very like big information about my body, like a couple just a week ago, and I'm still processing it because you know there's so much that we don't know that we're just living with under the surface, you know. Like I think that there's been a big, and you know, I'd love to hear what you have to say about this in terms of you know, people having more information about uh, you know, autism spectrum disorder and these kind of labels that we're giving people.
I'm not sure about the labels, but being able to understand how people are different and how people's brains and bodies work differently, and there's so much more awareness now and recognizing that again, there's been like a construct, maybe we could even call it like a collective loop of like this is how it should be, and yet there's all these people that have never fit into that category that have never fit into that reality, who've been struggling to figure out why they don't fit into that reality.
And I see that that is kind of getting gradually like you know, we might call it more education, but it is it's an opening in consciousness that people are becoming aware. Oh, how you perceive and experience things in your body is very different than how I experience and perceive things in my body, right?
Halliwell: Yeah, so I can't I look a lot at external patterns of what I call coercion, domination and control, which is the programming of society and culture and concepts that create limitation in the full spectrum sovereign expression of us as humans. So when we look at these patterns of these imprints that there's one or like a limited mental or physical expression of how you should be to be safe in society, there's a really huge space for breaking that down.
And I work a lot with people that have received different diagnoses and labels around their mental health and how they construct their reality from their minds, um, which is basically what those those labels are expressing to us, you know, how do you engage with reality, how you think and how you feel, and how your level of sensitivity really to everything around you, and we work with that on a level of truth. So if we remove that label, what is actually the mental process that you're experiencing? And is that mental process something that's happening from a core connectivity, or is that coming from some fracture or separation or trauma within you that we need to go and work with first beyond the label? So I work with a lot of people that have a block in their expression.
They feel like socially they can't really connect with other people, or they don't really know what to say, or they don't really feel heard. So we work with the core fracture in that, and that rewires the brain because you're not constantly thinking, what do I need to say? When do I need to say it?
How do I need to work with that? Am I heard? Am I expressed? And then there's this softening of the nervous system and the mental systems, and they find they don't have a social problem. It was just a trauma fracture problem that they were carrying within them. So we take all the things on the top level and we just look at it honestly and truthfully, and where is the root?
And from there, the body becomes the portal because all the stored pain that's in our body is just the density, how we've absorbed the density. So, say, for example, when you're a child, you got shouted at for asking questions. It's like stop asking questions, I don't want to hear your questions. There's a part of you that would have absorbed that within you and shut down around that.
So on a cellular energetic level, because we're cellular and energetic beings, there's a part of you that would have got trapped in that moment in time that would have stopped functioning in a free-flowing connected experience within us and become almost like a um a roadblock or a density that we then can't quite penetrate, and then it develops a fear around it, right?
And that fear becomes very unconscious, and the pain becomes unconscious too. So then we grow up, and then we're like, I don't really know why I can't ask questions in class, and then we think, oh, I don't really know why I can't ask my partner for what I need, and then we keep going through this pattern being expressed in our lives from this unconscious, unprocessed pain and fear. So the work that we do is we go back through the portal of that pain, which means that we are finding the energetic density, but we're also just finding the sensation. So we're not finding the thought form, we're finding the pure sensation of pain in the body, and we're inviting its expression. We're saying, where is the fear?
Where is the pain in the body? And that opening, witnessing people open that has just been profound because they're touching that deep place, they're going to find it, and then they're touching it, and as you touch that core place, that energy and that consciousness that got stored at that age begins to release through your body, your inner template, and then you actually feel safe internally. There's an internal safety because that part of you is no longer trapped, and organically, you're just like, I can't, I don't find the same program in my life anymore. It's it was never the truth that I was not able to express. It was always just the program and the pattern that was stored in the pain and the fear. So that's where I kind of land in that that space.
A: Yeah, no, I think it's it's uh it's a beautiful way of describing this phenomenon of how we hold on to things. I I like to describe it that like beliefs at their core are just these unprocessed, raw, somatic experiences of something that happened in our body at one point. And then later on, when we uncover it or get in touch with it, we can label it belief.
We can give it a structure that's more intellectualized. But at the core of it, it's a sensation and a feeling of unsafety or not rightness, you know. And that part of us can just keep holding.
I think endlessly. Because we, yeah, and and you know, maybe this is a good place to bring in like love because love is at the core of why we hold on so tightly. Core is at the it's at the core of need, the need for safety. It's like our body loves life. Our body will breathe, you know, when we, you know, need to breathe.
It will do all of the things it needs to to regulate itself to be alive because we are we are love and we're made of that same energy. So, you know, what you're saying is like very much making sense on a few different planes here about why we're holding on to things somatically and how we can kind of unlock that. It's it sounds like a really helpful and beautiful process that you're guiding people through.
Um, in terms of like what you've created, you know, as a format. Are you working with people over Zoom? You mentioned having some group containers, are these recorded sessions? Are they live? Like, how do you operate?
Halliwell: Yeah, so I saw that I wanted to create a very comprehensive understanding of how reality functions and how we work with reality and ourselves on the deepest levels. So there's 12 processes that come into that, and I call it the consciousness method. And those 12 processes are the inner inquiry, inner expansion, consciousness connection processes that I feel we we need to shift our internal template and shift our lives. So people work through those. And what happens is um I'm available Monday to Friday at a period of time every every day where people that are working through this work and doing the internal processes in the journaling and the complete restructure of their lives, they jump in and we have a direct connection.
So, say for example, someone will go today. I got really triggered around this part of my life, and then we we spend some time just going in and going, hey, let's find that core fracture and where that connects, and then they'll go off and they'll work on a part of that and then come back a couple of days later and say, oh my god, this happened, that happened. This is how it is.
And everyone is kind of witnessing everyone else's journey in those spaces because people realize that they're not alone in this journey and to be able to know that people are processing these parts that it's a part of them as well the exponential growth that people experience in the reflection of that has been pretty phenomenal. So it's, Yeah, it's a daily kind of process that we go through, and it happens over six months. Um, and it's everyone's invited to join. It's a beautiful, beautiful journey. And I speak about people that have done the journey speak on my podcast, the consciousness method. So they kind of gives a good example of the things that happen for people. Yeah, it's it's pretty beautiful. Wonderful.
